Party Plan: Songs for Retirement Parties

posted in: Party Plans | 0

When you are planning a celebration for a special someone who is leaving a working career, you want everything to be just right. If you want this party to be lively, you definitely want to include music, and the right playlist is imperative.

A  song title might provide a perfect theme for your event. You might want to celebrate the wealth of memories your guest of honor has gained throughout a long career. You might want to celebrate the end of the daily “grind.” You might want to celebrate the next phase of the honoree’s life.

You may want to have background music as guests arrive and mingle, or you may need a soundtrack for a video presentation about your guest of honor. You may want to rewrite the words to a familiar song to reflect things about the honoree–this song could be sung by all the guests or by one particular person. A soloist could perform a special song dedicated to the guest of honor. You could also have these selected songs prepared for everyone to sing as karaoke as part of the party’s activities.
