Tablescape: Fourth of July Tablesetting

Independence Day decorations are among my favorites, because I am a fanatic for red, white and blue and of course, stars. My favorite colors and icon. So it’s not hard to imagine why I love to put together an Independence Day tablescape. This  Fourth of July tablesetting for my extended family is one I really like. Now if I were to use it this year, I would take out every other place setting so no one would have to sit so close,

I used two bare rectangular tables, but this look could easily be enhanced by the use of a white or red solid color tablecloth. It’s hard to get navy blue solids to match well so that’s why I would go with white or red. I laid out the red, white and blue plaid placemats I found at Tuesday Morning several years ago and alternated red-bordered white dinner plates and America the Beautiful by Warren Kimble by Sakura .I then alternated blue and red star paper napkins on top of all the dinner plates.I used pewter flatware and clear glass goblets and wine glasses.

Down the center of the long table,  I placed small patriotic candles in clear votive holders. In the center of the table, I placed three royal blue  candleholders with white pillar candles on white melamine star-shaped plates. This tablescape is easy to set up and and to adapt to your own dishes and linens. May you have a wonderful Fourth of July with your family!
